报告题目：Torsion limit of Jacobians over finite fields

报告摘要：Given a tower of curves over finite fields, we introduce a new limit that gives information on the cardinality of the torsion sub-groups of the Jacobian of curves in the tower. The "torsion limit" has been found various applications in computational complexity and cryptography. In this talk, we'll derive some upper and lower bounds on torsion limit.
邢朝平教授个人简介
邢朝平教授于1990年获得中国科技大学博士学位，于1993年获德国洪堡基金，95-98为澳大利亚科学院研究员，98-2007在新加坡国立大学工作，2007至今为新加坡南洋理工大学教授，现担任南洋理工大学数学系主任。现从事的研究领域为编码、加密、数论、代数几何及半蒙特卡罗方法。
邢教授于2001年入选国家百人计划，2003年获新加坡国家自然科学奖，2013年获荷兰“Kloosterman" 教授。获得新加坡国家自然科学基金等重大科研项目，累计获科研经费1100
多新加坡元。
邢教授现担任国际计算数学杂志等国内外5个著名数学杂志的编委。在第三届欧洲数学家大会受邀做45分钟报告；在第三届国际华人数学家大会受邀做45分钟报告；在第四届亚洲数学会议做45分钟报告；在第五届亚洲数学家大会受邀做1小时报告。
邢朝平教授在”Princeton University Press" 和“Cambridge University Press"等著名出版物上先后发表学术专著4部，在SIAM J. DiscreteMathematics,Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. IEEE Transactions on Information Theory,Mathematics of Computation 等国际著名杂志上先后发表论文70余篇。
